HOMEBUILDER: LOT TYPES
Learn how to define and assign Lot Types for Models ...
Lot Type Overview
Lot Type represents the physical type of a Lot, which defines what kind of houses can be built on a Lot with such Lot Type. The most common use of this is to restrict which Model can be assigned to which Lot.
Common Lot Type examples are:
Lot Type Code | Concept/Usage |
---|---|
H30' | 30-foot lot |
H30' Long | 30-foot lot that is longer |
H40' | 40-foot lot |
H50" | 50-foot lot |
ALL | Attach to all models and any lot that can take any model, or where you do not want the system to add a restriction. |
The idea is that you specify on what Lot Types every Model can be built. When a user picks a Model for a specific Lot, the list of Models will be restricted to those that can be built on the Lot of this Lot Type.
To define lot types, search Lot Types or open the HomeBuilder Role Center, go to Setup, choose Lot Attributes, and click Lot Types.
Note
- "Lot Types" have a global scope, which means once configured in one company, they are available for use in all companies.
- To define which Company uses Lot Types, search HomeBuilder Setup, go to the General FastTab, and set the "Use Lot Types" toggle.
