Implementation Plan
- Although this document provides enough information for an advanced user to implement without assistance, we recommend that you use our consultants to guide you to at least one successful data load.
- Pick a company to do the API setup
- You only need to have the setup completed and the automation running in one company for the whole database (i.e.: the whole Business Central environment), you do not need to configure each company.
- This is not the same as the setup for the Project and Phases. This needs to be done on a company-by-company basis.
- Pick a company and a Phase to test. We want to run a full test into a real company which we will have taken as a copy. This copied company is only to be maintained temporarily, the run will be re-done in the live company once we have proven the integration is correctly setup.
- Information We Require to Start
-
- Client ID, secret key (to access the relevant SaleFish Projects).
- Project Codes and what Company/Phases they relate to.
- Pick a Phase No. that you will enter to each Lot in SaleFish to link back to the Phase in HomeBuilder.
- Typical Plan
-
- Create a user for the consultant in SaleFish in order that we may review a sample setup.
- Install the SaleFish App
- Book a 4-hour session where we do the following for you:
- Pick a SaleFish API Admin company, it does not matter which company it is but choosing a HomeBuilder licensed company makes sense.
- Create a copy company of a real-life company in BC that contains a Project/Phase to be integrated – prior to the first meeting.
- Complete the SaleFish Setup page in the API Admin company.
- Complete the API Setup page in the API Admin company. (you will need a user ID and password capable of accessing the SaleFish projects you want to use).
- Run the first data integration manually.
- Directly from the SaleFish Setup page – click on the Synchronize button.
- Individually, through the list of API Functions – see the Fault-Finding section if you need to do this.
- Review the three mapping tables.
- Review the Staging tables.
Software App Installation (summary version)
- There is detailed installation documentation available in the User Files. Contact your consultant for these should this summary not be enough.
- Install the “HomeBuilder SaleFish Integration” App from Microsoft’s AppSource or from the “Extension Marketplace” page in Business Central.
- In the page "Extension Management", make sure that the apps "HomeBuilder SaleFish Integration" and "Suite Engine API Engine Library" are installed. Both should come with the installation of the “HomeBuilder SaleFish Integration” App.
- If the user setting up is not a “SUPER” user, you must add the following "Permission Sets" to the user responsible for setting up and/or running the SaleFish setup and the Job Queue.
- SEHBS SALEFISH – R
- SEHBS SALEFISH-RMID
- The following Role Centers have the drop-down list SaleFish at the top of the main page. If your user does not have these role centers, they will need to search for SaleFish pages using the base BC search tools.
- "HomeBuilder Execute"
- "HomeBuilder Admin"
