Categories
RPM Categories are a great starting place for the internal organization of RPM units. Categories will allow you to easily structure your RPM Units so that each category unit has a relationship to the other. This allows for efficient filtering, reporting and ease of use. Examples of categories could be trailers, pumps, bits, blades, pipe, chains, containers, dozers, forklifts.
- Search for RPM Categories and choose the RPM Categories option under Pages and Tasks
- Press the New button at the top of the page and a blank line will be inserted.
- Enter the Category Code, Description, and the RPM Product Line Code it belongs to. Each of these sections will be up to you to label. It is important to be consistent throughout setting up this section.
- Scroll or Tab to the right and enter the proper General Product Posting group it belongs to for Rental, Sale, and Sub-Rental, as well as the Tax Group Code for Rental and Sale.
- Move off the line and you are finished. Press F5 to refresh the screen and RPM will re-sort the list by the Category Code.
