      How to set up RPM Subcategories?

      Subcategories

      RPM Subcategories are an important part of the RPM equipment structure. You can use them to quote your rentals or sales without having to define which RPM unit you will rent or sell. They also allow you to differentiate your RPM Units from their own actual descriptions, while keeping them related. An example would be a category of forklifts, where the subcategory would be a 10,000LBS forklift, 15,000LBS forklift and 20,000LBS forklift.

      1. Search for RPM Subcategory and choose the RPM Subcategory List option under Pages and Tasks.
      2. Press the New button at the top of the page.
      3. Enter the No., Type, Description, Base Unit of Measure and RPM Category Code.
      4. The RPM Category Code will auto-fill the RPM Product Line and all of the Posting and Tax Groups.
      5. On the Related Charges tab, enter in any related charges you wish to be associated with this Subcategory.
      6. The Subcategory is now ready for use.
