RPM: INSPECTION SHEETS
Inspection Sheets
RPM Inspection Sheets allow for the printing of physical inspection sheets and the automatic creation of work orders. Depending on what is inspected and what passes or fails inspection, the system will add the necessary resources to a work order for repair.
Before creating an inspection sheet, there are a few steps to take to fully utilize the functionality.
Navigate to the No. Series page and click +New in the top ribbon.
Enter a code and description for the new inspection sheet series.
Click into the Starting No. field. The only required field is the Starting No. Fill this out.
Check the Default Nos. Boolean towards the right side of the line. This field specifies that the number series will assign numbers automatically.
Exit the No. Series page.
Navigate to the RPM Checklists page. This is where checklist items are stored. Add anything that can be checked during inspection to this table. These codes will flow through to the RPM Inspection Sheet, and the RPM Inspection Types page.
Enter a code, description, and the associated PM Work Code to each line.
Navigate to the RPM Inspection Types page. RPM Inspection Types are user-created combinations of checklist items. Selecting an RPM Inspection Type on an Inspection Sheet will autofill the lines with the checklist items assigned here.
Click +New in the top ribbon. This will open an RPM Inspection Type Card.
Add a code and description for the type of inspection.
Add checklist items using the dropdown on the lines.
Exit the page when the necessary checklist items have been added.
RPM Inspection Types must be assigned at the subcategory or unit level to be used on an Inspection Sheet. Types assigned at the subcategory level will flow down to the unit level.
Navigate to a Subcategory or Unit Card that needs an inspection type assigned.
Select Home in the top ribbon, then RPM Inspection Types.
Using the dropdown selector, add an Inspection Type code. The description will automatically fill.
When complete, exit the page.
Navigate to the RPM Fault Codes page. If a checklist item is marked as “Fail” on the inspection sheet, a fault code can be selected to reflect the reason for failure.
Enter a code and description for any possible fault codes. The descriptions from these codes will be automatically added to the inspection lines as comments when the fault code is selected.
Search for RPM Inspection Sheets.
Click +New in the top ribbon.
Select a Unit No. for inspection. This will automatically fill out most of the fields in the header.
Select an Inspector and an Inspection Due Date.
If applicable and the subcategory or unit is assigned Inspection Types, select an Inspection Type. This will add checklist items to the lines.
If there is no Inspection Type assigned to the unit, manually add checklist items to the lines.
When all checklist items are added, there is the option to Print Inspection Sheet in the top ribbon. Select the option to Hide Passed/Failed Values for a copy with blank values.
After the inspection is complete, fill out the Passed/Failed/NA values. If checklist items fail inspection, the Fault Code field can be used on the failed lines.
The Status of the Inspection Sheet will be marked as Complete when every checklist line has been marked as pass or fail.
To create a work order from the checklist items, start by checking the Insert PM Lines box for lines that need work done. This field can be checked off for any lines, regardless of pass/fail.
When the necessary boxes are checked to insert PM lines, select Create Work Order in the top ribbon. Using the PM Codes from the Checklist Items, the system will create a work order for all items, resources, and labor required.
To close out the inspection sheet and hide it from the list page, click Move to Archive in the top ribbon of the inspection sheet. Search for RPM Inspection Sheet Archives to revisit archived sheets.
System also allows users to create inspection sheets from a unit card or work order.
To create an inspection sheet from a unit card, click Actions in the top ribbon, then Functions, Other, Create Inspection Sheet.
To create an inspection sheet from a work order, click Line in the Work Order Lines FastTab, then Create Inspection Sheet.
