CSM Listings - Pricing
Beyond the base price sent with a listing (see CSM Listing - Sending and Retrieving Listing Data), CSM can synchronize customer-group pricing with the channel.
CSM Price Groups
This applies to BigCommerce and Magento:
A CSM price group maps a Business Central customer price group to a customer group on the channel (BigCommerce customer group; Magento customer group).
Note (BigCommerce): to find a customer group's external ID, open the group in the BigCommerce admin and read the number before /edit in the URL, e.g. .../customers/groups/1/edit → 1.
- Open the CSM sales channel and choose Related > Setup > Price Groups.
- Create a new line (API set and channel populate automatically).
- Enter the Business Central Price Group Code and the channel's External ID.
- Select the Pricing Type: - None – no pricing sent. - Customer Group – uses pricing discount rules (fixed product-level prices). - Price List – uses CSM price lists (variant-specific and quantity-tiered pricing); requires a CSM Price List Code. - Catalog – not supported for BigCommerce.
Sending a price group to the channel: select the line, ensure it has a customer price group and Tax Class ID, optionally set External Description, Default (default group for new customers) and Guest (default for guest checkout), then choose Actions > Send to External. CSM creates or updates the group and stores the returned External ID.
This feature is currently not available for Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon and Walmart.
Pricing Discount Rules
This applies to BigCommerce:
Required when a price group uses Pricing Type Customer Group. Each rule is one product-level discount per item per customer group – suitable for fixed pricing.
Prerequisites
- Price groups with Pricing Type Customer Group.
- Business Central sales prices (legacy or new pricing experience) assigned to a customer price group that is mapped to a CSM price group, with Minimum Quantity 0 or 1.
- A CSM listing for each item.
Steps
- Open the sales channel and choose Related > Listing > Pricing Discount Rules.
- Choose Generate Pricing Discount Rules. CSM creates a rule for every qualifying item/sales price. This overwrites existing rules.
- Review the lines. To adjust, change the Business Central sales prices and regenerate.
- Choose Actions > Channel Integration > Send All to Channel. Last External Update Status shows the result.
Note: BigCommerce product-level discounts are replaced on every send, so all rules must be sent together.
This feature is currently not available for Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Amazon and Walmart.
CSM Price Lists
This applies to BigCommerce (Enterprise):
Price lists support variant-specific prices and quantity-based tiers.
Prerequisites
- Business Central sales price lists using the new pricing experience (legacy pricing is not supported), assigned to a customer price group mapped to a CSM price group. Multiple lines per item are allowed for tiers.
- A CSM listing for each item on the price list.
Creating a price list
- Open the sales channel and choose Related > Setup > Price Lists, then New.
- Fill in: CSM Price List Code, BC Price List Code, Description, External Code (required, sent to BigCommerce), Include Future Starting Dates, and Listings Included: - All Active Listings – every CSM listing linked to an item on the BC price list; grows as items are added. - Named Listings – only the lines already on the CSM price list (static).
- Choose Generate Price List Lines. Re-running deletes and recreates the lines (CSM asks for confirmation).
- Assign the list to price groups: Actions > Assignments > CSM Price Groups, set CSM Price List Code on each group (group Pricing Type must be Price List).
Price list line fields (all for quantity 1; tiers appear in the Tier Prices FactBox)
| Field | Source |
|---|---|
| Fixed Price | Business Central sales price list |
| Sale Price | Manual or custom code |
| Retail Price | Channel price for the channel's price group, else item card Unit Price |
| MAP Price | Listing's MAP Price (stored via API; not shown natively by the BigCommerce storefront) |
Each price has a null checkbox: checked = no price assigned (not sent); unchecked = price is sent. Uncheck manually to explicitly send zero.
Sending – Actions > Channel Integration:
- Send Price List to Channel – creates the list; External ID is returned.
- Send Price List Lines to Channel – sends the line prices.
- Send Price List Assignments to Channel – sends the customer group assignments.
After a change, run only the relevant action (e.g. regenerate lines and re-send lines after a sales price change).
This feature is currently not available for Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Amazon and Walmart.
