Amazon Setup - Order Imports without RDT Access

Two quick steps to retrieving your order data Amazon and import the data into Business Central.

If you are unable to obtain a Restricted Data Token from Amazon to retrieve shipping address information (Amazon restricts access to PII) automatically via CSM, it is necessary to download an order report containing this information from your Amazon Seller Central account, then import this report into Business Central.

 

Download the Order Report file

  • Log into your account on Amazon Seller Central
    • Choose Orders > Order Reports option
      • Select the Unshipped Orders (it may be labeled as FBM Unshipped Orders) tab
        • In the Request Report area, choose the Request button.  This will create a new report line in the Download Report area. It may take up to 45 minutes for Amazon to generate the new report.

    • Choose the Refresh button in the Download Report area to refresh the report line until you see a Download button in the Download column. Click this button to download the order text file to your computer.

Import the Order File into Business Central

  • Search for CSM Sales Channels and select the associated Amazon FBM Sales Channel
    • Choose the Actions ribbon, then choose Import Order Report
      • In the Import Buyer Address window, enable the Release Orders field if you want to instruct CSM to release the sales order as part of the import process.
      • In the File field, follow to prompts to navigate to the location of the file you downloaded above; select the file and then choose Open
        • Select file to Import
    • In the Import Buyer Address window, choose OK

This process will ensure that CSM imports the selected file, updates the address information on the relevant CSM Channel Orders , as well as the Business Central sales orders.

Note: the order report file you import must include order IDs for each Amazon order. If the order ID is not present in this file, the import process will fail. While the order ID is the only mandatory value, other values such as the buyer name and address are recommended; if these values are not present in the order report file, CSM will alert you to these missing values and give you an option as to whether you wish to continue with the import process.
