Walmart Setup - Quick Setup Wizard

Walmart provides a streamlined and expedited process for connecting to Business Central in just two steps.

Once you have set up a trial subscription and obtained your credentials, you are ready to set up your CSM for Walmart solution. To assist you in the creation of your primary sale channel, CSM for Walmart includes a setup wizard that streamlines the setup process.

1. Setup Walmart in Business Central

  • Search for CSM Setup and select the related link
    • From the Actions ribbon, choose Walmart Quick Setup
    • "Welcome to the Walmart Quick Setup Wizard." step
      • Toggle the Create Sales Channel option on and click Next

Code

This is a unique code that identifies the sales channel.

Description

This is a text description of the sales channel. 

 Walmart - Ecommerce Store
    •  "Load Walmart Configuration Data." step
      • This allows you to Load Walmart API Data and load default CSM Triggers.  We recommend toggling all of the configuration toggles on and clicking Next
    • "API Set Information" step
      • Here you can specify information about the API Set to connect Business Central to Walmart

This is a unique code that identifies the API Set.

By default, it will be assigned a value of WALMART, but you can change this to a different code.

This is a text description for the API Set.

By default, it will be assigned a value of Walmart Collection, but you can change this to a different description.

Walmart Host URL

This is the host URL endpoint for the Walmart API.

Normally it is https://marketplace.walmartapis.com, and this default is assigned in the field.

    • "Press Next to Load the Walmart Data." step   
      • Click Next to load and configure your Walmart channel
    • Once the channel setup is complete, choose Finish

 

2. Connect the Walmart Sales Channel to Walmart's API

  • Search for CSM Sales Channel and select the related link
  • Select the Sales Channel you created in the first step; by default, this will be named Walmart
  • From the APIs Ribbon, select Connect to Walmart
    • Connect to Walmart
  • This will open a browser popup window that will require you to log into your Walmart Seller Account
  • Enter your Username and Password, any required MFA information and login
  • After logging in, Walmart will ask you to authorize access to CSM; click Authorize

  • If there are no connection errors, you can rest easy that you have now connected Walmart to Business Central! 

 

Test your Connection

  • Search for CSM Sales Channels and select the related link
    • Click on the associated Sales Channel you just created
      • From the APIs ribbon, choose the Test Channel Communication

    Note: If the test was successful, you can continue your sales channel configuration.  If it failed, please search the knowledge base or contact support.
