Walmart Setup - Quick Setup Wizard

Walmart provides a streamlined and expedited process for connecting Business Central in just two steps.

 

1. Setup Walmart in Business Central

  • Search for CSM Setup and select the related link
  • From the Actions ribbon, choose Walmart Quick Setup
  • "Welcome to the Walmart Quick Setup Wizard." step
    • Toggle the Create Sales Channel option on and click Next

Code

This is a unique code that identifies the sales channel. It can be any value you wish, but we recommend naming it something meaningful that describes the sales channel.

Description

This is a text description of the sales channel.

  •  "Load Walmart Configuration Data." step
    • This allows you to Load Walmart API Data and load default CSM Triggers.  We recommend toggling all of the configuration toggles on and clicking Next
  • "API Set Information" step
    • If you toggled the "Load Walmart API Data" on the previous step, you will be prompted to specify information about the API Sets that CSM will use to communicate with Business Central.

This is a unique code that identifies the API Set.

By default, it will be assigned a value of WALMART, but you can change this to a different code.

This is a text description for the API Set.

By default, it will be assigned a value of Walmart Collection, but you can change this to a different description.

Walmart Host URL

This is the host URL endpoint for the Walmart API.

Normally it is https://marketplace.walmartapis.com, and this default is assigned in the field.

  • When you have finished entering API Set information, click Next 
  • On the setup confirmation page, choose Next to instruct the wizard to load the toggled data and create the sales channel
  • Once that is confirmed, click Finish

 

2. Connect the Walmart Sales Channel to Walmart's API

  • Search for CSM Sales Channel and select the related link
  • Select the Sales Channel you created in the first step; by default, this will be named Walmart
  • From the APIs Ribbon, select Connect to Walmart
  • This will open a browser popup window that will require you to log into your Walmart Seller Account
  • Enter your Username and Password, any required MFA information and login
  • After logging in, Walmart will ask you to authorize access to CSM; click Authorize
  • If there are no connection errors, you can rest easy that you have now connected Walmart to Business Central! 
  • On the CSM Sales Channel card that is displayed, you will also see a Disconnect From Walmart and Test Channel Communication buttons.
    • We recommend clicking Test Channel Communication to confirm your connection. CSM will notify you if the test communication was successful or if it failed. If the test was successful you can continue on to next steps.  If the test failed, please search the knowledge base for help or contact support.
